SCHOCK strengthens involvement in Czech Republic

Granite sink manufacturer SCHOCK is intensifying its business activities in the Czech Republic. The sales team for the Czech market has been bolstered by the addition of graduate engineer Martin Melichar and Tereza Mattušová, both of whom have been working with the SCHOCK brand in the Czech Republic for years. The company now has a dedicated sales team of native speakers supporting the local market both in the back office and in the field.

Sven-Michael Funck, Marketing and Export Director at SCHOCK, explains the reasoning behind the company’s decision: “We want to put the SCHOCK brand in the Czech Republic on a more professional and customer-friendly footing for the future. Our location close to the border is an additional boon to us. With our warehouse there, we are already closer to Prague than we are to many cities in Germany.” This location advantage has a very positive effect on lead times. Any one of the 10,000 sinks in stock in the warehouse at Regen can be with the company’s Czech customers in a minimum of time. The market can be served optimally as a result.

Martin Melichar, who is newly responsible for the market as Country Manager, is looking forward to the challenge: “My goal is to bring the dealers here at home even closer to this exceptional brand and I believe that SCHOCK will certainly achieve a great deal more success in the Czech Republic.” A product brochure for the Czech market was produced in time for the recent market entry and is now being distributed to customers.

SCHOCK operates internationally in over 70 countries around the world. This logical step into the Czech Republic sees the company strengthen its activities in another attractive market with enormous growth potential. SCHOCK entered seven new markets last year alone and plans are in place to move into more new markets and increase existing market shares in the course of 2014.
