The name and slogan of this new exhibition tell the guidelines for an event whose objective is to become the showplace for new ideas in the Machineries, New Technologies, Components and Materials for the Furniture Industry. I D E A‒ Innovation Design Expo Area will take place from 12 to 15 of April 2016 in the convenient and modern Exhibition Ground of Bergamo, at the same time with the Milan Design Week. This is one of the most important events worldwide for the Furniture, Design and Interior Decoration. Therefore every year, representatives of this sector come to this region in order to meet, visit and experience this unique atmosphere.
The intuition of some leading Italian Woodworking Machinery Manufacturers to create an Exhibition in synergy with the Milan Design Week can now take form and be realized only few kilometres from Milan. The Bergamo Exhibition Center is fast and convenient to reach being located at only two kilometres from the highway exit Milan – Venice and only two kilometres from the International airport Milano- Bergamo. A well-organized shuttle bus service from different locations of Milan to Bergamo Exhibition Center is going to assure a comfortable and efficient transportation to Bergamo and back, this service is free of charge for the visitors of I D E A.
The Mission of this new event is to create a connecting bridge, bonds and synergies between the Exhibitors of Machineries, New Technologies, Materials, Accessories and Components and the Visitors in a new way. In this context, a platform for interactive networking will be created. Open dialog will be encouraged between the Machines Engineers and the Designers and Technical People from the Visitors side.
In order to create innovations and new tendencies, it is important to be informed and to understand the possibilities that New Technologies, New Processes, Materials and Components offer.
The hundreds of thousands of people who participate at Design Week indeed come to Milan to find innovations and tomorrow’s trends. In a word: Inspiration. Therefore one of the primary objectives of I D E A – Innovation Design Expo Area is to “concentrate” in an efficient business and communication platform the new developments and the new applications of the furniture industry.
Another example that will certainly be an attraction for the visitors is a particular rule: each exhibitor must have in the stand at least one innovative product, technology, material or patent (the exhibitor can choose to show it only to visitors to his discretion). This is just one more incentive to make it irresistible for the visitors to come to Bergamo. They will meet the most innovative exhibitors and partners in order to develop their new products that will help them to innovate and compete.
