ASEAN Woodworking and Furniture Production

The biennial furniPRO Asia is the leading trade fair for the woodworking, furniture and panel production industries in South East Asia. The event, which is considered to be an ideal gateway to the ASEAN region markets, will be once again staged in Singapore in November 2014.

In 2012, furniPRO Asia hosted 100 key buyers from China, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand and Vietnam, and opened new gateways to the new collaborations while presenting the latest innovations and developments in the furniture production and woodworking industry. Featured close to 5,000 sqm gross exhibit space, with the trade fair and its co-located seminars attended by 2,152 visitors from 27 countries, furniPro Asia was a big event with 84 exhibitors from 20 countries including Germany, Turkey, the United States of America, China, Taiwan and Singapore. Highly positive feedback from exhibitors at furniPRO Asia 2012 leaded the organizer Koelnmesse to expect more than 150 exhibitors and 4,000 visitors for the 2014 edition. “I believe that furniPRO Asia has arrived at an opportune time to fill a pressing need in the ASEAN market, one which has been vacant for some years now. With our powerful global networks and experience from organising the world’s largest furniture and furniture production events including imm cologne, ORGATEC, interzum and interzum guangzhou, furniPRO Asia will be a trailblazer for the region, to discuss the latest issues and policies impacting the industry today, and acting as the gateway to the emerging markets in ASEAN” said Michael Dreyer, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Koelnmesse.

FurniPRO Asia 2014 offers an unparalleled outreach and access from the international woodworking and furniture production industries to trade professionals in the ASEAN region and beyond.
