MEM INDUSTRIAL WILL BRING MORE THAN 230 COMPANIES OF THE FURNITURE INDUSTRY TOGETHER

In January 2020 Magna Expo Mueblera Industrial -MEM Industrial- will bring together more than 230 furniture and machinery brands from Europe and other countries to Mexico, consolidating it as the most important business platform of machines and accessories for the wood transformation and furniture manufacturing industry.

The Mexican furniture market has an approximate value of 40 billion pesos, with an annual growth of 3 percent on average, which represents a business opportunity for Mexican and foreign companies, said Christian Pfeiffer, Global Director of Wood Working Events in Deutsche Messe.

Mexico stands out as the world’s fourth exporter of adjustable height swivel seats, sixth of chairs and metal seats, eighth of chairs and wooden seats and ninth of wooden parts and pieces for furniture. It is an industry that employs around 100 thousand Mexicans.

Pfeiffer said that this fair consolidates its success as the reference for the industry and for the next edition changes were implemented to further develop the floor plan of the trade fair, including product segmentations,  specialized areas and an increase in exhibition space in the Citibanamex Center (from room D to room B and C), which implies greater advantages for exhibitors.

In the upcoming edition, the participation of 7,000 visitors from 18 countries and 230 exhibitors in 12,000 m2, is expected.

Thanks to the agreement with the Mexican Association of Suppliers of the Wood and Furniture Industry (AMPIMM) and the joint work with international organizations of the sector, such as the European Federation of Manufacturers of Machinery for the Transformation of Wood (Eumabois) and the German association of this industry VDMA (Machinery for the Processing of the Wood), new product groups and activities have been integrated in the exhibition. This makes the event the most important business event for the woodworking, wood processing and furniture manufacturing industry.

In its 25th edition last year, MEM Industrial confirmed its reputation as the largest business platform in the sector, thanks to the successful partnership with AMPIMM. Strategic allies such as Eumabois and VDMA Woodworking provided the exhibition with a new face, transforming MEM Industrial effectively into the main showcase of Mexico for the wood industry, stated Christian Pfeiffer.

MEM Industrial offers a complete panorama of innovations and the most advanced technology in wood processing and machinery for wood transformation. It also presents a wide variety of tools and equipment for the customized and serial production, accessories, supplies, materials for panels and sawmills.
